The capital of the United Arab Emirates, After Inaugural Year Success, Announces 2nd Edition

LONDON, May 13, 2010 - Following the hugely successful first edition and under the
patronage of His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown
Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
TDIC (Tourism Development & Investment Company) and ADACH (Abu Dhabi
Authority for Culture and Heritage) make a new date with collectors, artists,
dealers, critics, curators and all those with a passion for art and design,
from November 4th to 7th for Abu Dhabi Art 2010.

Four days to visit some of the most influential galleries on
the international art market but also discover the Middle East's contemporary
art scene, and refresh our view of this region, where East and West meet, on
the crossroads of the legendary Silk Road.

Four days to rediscover the work of modern art's greatest representatives
and discover the new names on the emerging scene. The opening reception will
be held on Wednesday 3 November, and Abu Dhabi Art will operate daily from
3pm to 10pm.

"Abu Dhabi Art is part of a larger programme designed to continue Abu
Dhabi's
efforts in enriching cultural life for Emiratis, UAE residents and
for our millions of visitors, who are coming to expect something distinctive
and compelling in Abu Dhabi," stated His Excellency Sheikh Sultan bin Tahnoon
Al Nahyan
, Chairman of TDIC and ADACH. "As Abu Dhabi Art continues to grow in
its second year, as the museums on Saadiyat Island begin to take shape, and
as the cultural life in the Emirate blooms, we are fulfilling our vision for
transforming Abu Dhabi into a global crossroads for arts and culture."

Abu Dhabi Art 2010 is also about enjoyment, exchanging views
and embracing new ideas.

Once again this year, Abu Dhabi Art is programming the
initiatives that helped make its launch such a success:

    - Signature gives "carte blanche" to up-and-coming artists
      from each gallery

    - Beyond focuses on monumental installations and other
      open-air sculptures

Arts, Talks and Sensations is a vast celebration that brings
together the people who are making art now: artists, performers, actors, DJs,
poets, philosophers and more join in an eclectic programme that will take in
contemporary creation in all its forms, temporary exhibitions throughout Abu
Dhabi
and a vast programme of cultural engagement will complete this
exceptional programme of art which establishes Abu Dhabi as a new world
capital for contemporary creation. In addition, art talks and debates will
bring together leading experts to discuss issues that shape or open up new
perspectives for the art markets. Abu Dhabi Art will also continue growing
its design platform as well as introducing new talents to the audience.

The inaugural edition of Abu Dhabi Art, held in November 2009,
exceeded expectations, and included 50 of the world's most prominent
galleries from 19 countries displaying a wealth of museum-quality work to
more than 15,000 visitors.

Abu Dhabi Art is a solid build up of Abu Dhabi's ambitious
plans to develop into a gracious international cultural hub.The fair
compliments projects like Saadiyat Island's Cultural District, which is home
to the Zayed National Museum, Guggenheim Abu Dhabi and Louvre Abu Dhabi. Abu
Dhabi Art illustrates the government's determination to establish Abu Dhabi
at the forefront of art and culture in the 21st century.
