Ad van Geloven Appoints New Chief Executive

TILBURG, The Netherlands - Ad van Geloven, the leading manufacturer of frozen snack and meal components in the Benelux and owner of the iconic Mora brand, is pleased to announce the appointment of Peter Doodeman as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective October 1st.

An industry veteran, Peter has led substantial profitable growth and product innovation across a number of highly regarded, multi-national businesses, including Sara Lee and Meadwestvaco.

Peter, who brings a wealth of food expertise and experience, together with a fantastic track record of delivering results, spent the formative years of his career at Sara Lee, culminating in his promotion to President of Sara Lee Foods Europe in 1998, a position he held for nine years. During his tenure at Sara Lee, Peter was instrumental in driving new product innovation and significant top and bottom line growth across the business. Since 2007, Peter has led the European Consumer Solutions Group of Meadwestvaco Packaging.

Commenting on his appointment, Peter Doodeman said: “Ad van Geloven represents a great opportunity for me to focus on food and consumer brands. The business has a very strong track record and I look forward to further building its position as a leading Benelux food business.”

Peter succeeds Hans Vermeulen, who will join Ad van Geloven’s supervisory board as vice chairman. Doodeman added: “During his long tenure, Hans has transformed Ad van Geloven into the leading frozen snack player that it is today and I look forward to building on the platform he has created.”
