Leading Mobile Billing and Analytics Provider is Aepona's Launch Partner for its Application Ecosystem Program
BARCELONA, Spain, February 14, 2011 - Aepona today launched its Application Ecosystem Program by
announcing a partnership with Bango, the leading global provider of billing
and analytics services for mobile content and applications.
Aepona's Application Ecosystem Partner program is designed to
connect in-market applications and developer communities to Aepona's Mobile
Operator customers, creating immediate new revenue sources for operators. The
program provides content providers and application developer communities with
increased reach and easy access to advanced direct-to-mobile billing
capabilities and other mobile network enablers, via Aepona's Universal
Service Platform (USP) deployed within the operators' networks.
For operators deploying the USP, the program provides
immediate access to applications and services that utilize the operator's
billing and network capabilities, creating a new revenue stream and
increasing choice for their customers. The Bango partnership allows Aepona to
deliver day-one revenues to operators by bringing a large, vibrant community
of mobile application and content providers.
"Bango's relationship with Aepona creates significant benefits
for our mobile content and application partners," said Anil Malhotra, SVP
Marketing & Alliances of Bango. "We've been highly impressed with the
sophisticated carrier billing features, reliability and performance which
become available when Aepona's solution is present in the network - we can
connect with the operator in as little as 2-3 days. The Bango-enabled mobile
community includes leading games publishers, music and media companies along
with the latest innovations in digital media. This partnership opens up new
direct-to-mobile payment channels that greatly extend their market reach."
"Operators have been turning to Aepona to help them kick-start
their Network as a Service initiatives or grow their existing programs to the
next level," said Kevin Wagner, Aepona's Senior VP of Business Development.
"By partnering with Bango, we are not only providing a full mobile payments
solution to operators delivering next-generation functionality for mobile web
and application payments, we are also connecting our operator customers to an
instant source of revenue, bringing applications to their network that help
them to monetize their billing and network assets. We are delighted to have
Bango as the launch partner for our Application Ecosystem program and look
forward to realizing the full potential of our relationship."
