BLAGNAC, France - Alain Carcassès, CEO of Aeroconseil, is one of the representatives accompanying Christine Lagarde, Minister of the Economy, Industry and Employment, to China from the 28th to the 30th October, 2009, in order to meet the most senior officials in the country. This delegation includes representatives from various industry sectors including the aeronautics industry, in particular, EADS and SAFRAN-Aircelle.
The presence of Aeroconseil along with this aircraft manufacturer and this flagship civilian aircraft engine manufacturer is a strong indication of its desire to be actively involved in Franco-Chinese business relations. In fact:
- Airbus chose China to be its first assembly line (FAL) outside Europe and Aeroconseil managed the FAL process for the first aircraft which was delivered at the end of June, 2009 to Dragon Aviation for use by Sichuan Airlines. - the C919 program has entered a development phase in which Chinese officials are now officially requesting the involvement of Western industrialists. Within this context, Aeroconseil may be able to contribute its expertise in international certification which is one of the main objectives of this programme. - The Chinese authorities also have a desire to introduce the highest international levels of safety and aeronautics design to their aircraft industry and, as a result, they are currently inviting companies like Aeroconseil to help provide the necessary training.
In conclusion, the various challenges facing the Chinese aeronautics industry are opportunities for Aeroconseil to contribute its skills and expertise which will help it to consolidate its position as a key player in the aeronautics industry.
