By Anglo American Plc, PRNEThursday, February 17, 2011
LONDON, February 18, 2011 - Global mining company Anglo American today reflected on what it called an
"outstanding year" as it reported full year results for 2010 with operating
profits of $9.8bn dollars.
In a video interview with online business broadcaster
www.cantos.com chief executive Cynthia Carroll says that whilst higher
commodity prices have undoubtedly had an impact, the drive to deliver on
strategic objectives, improve operational performance and focus on cost had
served to amplify the benefits of higher prices.
Carroll also discusses today's announced joint venture between Tarmac UK
and Lafarge UK.
