CANNES, France - The loveable canine Lassie made its come back in its animated form as DQ Entertainment launched the promotional trailer of Lassie. This property co-developed and being produced by DQE & Classic Media, USA the original rights owners at a global budget of Euro 8.37 million and was green signaled by ABC Australia and ZDF - the German broadcaster for this 52×11′ 3D CGI TV Series. Backed by French broadcaster, the Chairman of Classic Media Eric Ellen Bogen, Nicole Keeb of ZDF, Barbara Uecker of ABC Australia, Natalie Altman, Tapaas Chakravarti Chairman & CEO of DQ Entertainment Group along with co-director Theresa Plummer Andrews launched Lassie in Cannes on 5th October. The Lassie trailer generated a lot of interest amongst the Broadcasters, Licensing and Distribution companies present.
Based on the works of Eric Knight’s ‘Lassie Come Home’. The canine is leaping into the 21st century in a new animated TV series of 52 x 11′ action-adventures for girls & boys, ages 5 to 9.
She’s a collie canine - brave, loyal and super smart and she Speaks!!
Lassie lives in the modern suburbia, taking care of 8-year-old twins Zoe & Joe - plus a whole raft of funny and lovable animal friends. Every one of them has a knack for getting into trouble so Lassie’s got more work on her paws than ever before.
Each episode tells a self-contained story and is a fast paced action adventure providing Values like loyalty, responsibility, valour, sacrifice, perseverance, devotion and love.
Joe & Zoe, their parents, friends, neighbours represent Human World and the Animal World is led by Lassie and features her closest animal friends who talk amongst themselves but never to humans.
