ASHBURN, Virginia -
- New Module for Industry-Leading AP Automation Platform Gives Suppliers a View into Payment Processing Status
Brainware, Inc., an innovative provider of intelligent data capture (www.brainware.com/data_capture.php) and enterprise search solutions (www.brainware.com/search.php), today announced the release of Brainware Distiller Gateway(TM), a self-service portal for vendors to securely access the status of submitted invoices. Distiller Gateway is available as an add-on module to Brainware Distiller(TM), the company’s automated data capture and document processing platform.
Distiller Gateway provides complete, unified access to information relevant to supplier inquiries, including invoice date, invoice number, amount to be paid, associated purchase order number, payment status, and other customizable fields.
“In their quest for continued process efficiency, top performing accounts payable organizations adopt self-service solutions 176 percent more often than their peers,” said Kurt Albertson, Director of Advisory Services for the Hackett Group. “And as a great deal of inquiry volume is typically attributed to suppliers checking invoice status, automating this manually intensive activity is a key enabler of top performers achieving inquiry support costs that are only 38 percent of their peers.”
Distiller Gateway provides:
- Secure Web-Based Access for Vendors - Vendors can access the status of invoices over the Web, minimizing the volume of vendor inquiries and freeing up AP staff to focus on more value-added tasks. - Easy Vendor Onboarding and Setup - There is no setup on the part of the vendors, and customers can easily load thousands of vendors into Distiller Gateway at a time. - Management Reporting - Reports provide an at-a-glance history that details which vendors have checked the status of invoices, login frequency, session length and other pertinent information.
“More Global 2000 organizations are viewing vendor information exchange as a requirement of their end-to-end AP processing solution,” explained Charles Kaplan, Vice President of Marketing and Product Management at Brainware. “We developed Distiller Gateway as a direct response to prospect demand and as a requirement from our existing customer base. The benefits of this new module tie directly into our core belief that any solution needs to provide control, visibility and flexibility into finance operations.”
