Capstone Reports Change to its Board

VANCOUVER, April 14, 2011 - Capstone Mining Corp. (TSX: CS) announced that D. Bruce McLeod has
tendered his resignation as a Director of the Company.
Mr. McLeod has indicated he wishes to devote more time to his role as
President and CEO of Creston Moly Corp. Following completion of the proposed
transaction between Creston Moly Corp. and Mercator Minerals Ltd., Mr. McLeod
is slated to become the President and CEO of Mercator Minerals Ltd.
"Bruce has made a significant contribution to the Board of Capstone and
its predecessor, Sherwood Copper, where he was co-founder and Executive
Chairman," said Darren Pylot, President and CEO of Capstone. "All of us at
Capstone have benefited greatly from Bruce's guidance as we have moved
Capstone forward, and I speak on behalf of the entire team in wishing him the
