Changes in Supervisory Board of ARCADIS

AMSTERDAM - ARCADIS (EURONEXT: ARCAD), the international consultancy, design and engineering company, today announced that the Company’s Annual General Meeting of Shareholders on May 7, 2009 has appointed Ms Ruth Markland to the Company’s Supervisory Board. The meeting also reappointed Mr George R. Nethercutt Jr. for a second four year term.
Ms Markland is a lawyer and has worked for many years for the prestigious British Freshfields law firm in Asia as a lawyer/partner and as a managing partner in its Hong Kong and Singapore business units. Ms Markland consequently has broad knowledge of Asia, an important market for ARCADIS. Ms Markland has always been active in the professional services sector and as a lawyer was involved in diverse legal issues and in corporate law in a more general sense. Ms Markland will become a member of the ARCADIS Audit Committee.
