Corporate Attorney Richard May Joins Fried Frank's London Office

LONDON, January 4, 2011 - Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP announced today that Richard
May
has joined the Firm as a corporate partner, resident in the London
office. Mr. May adds depth to Fried Frank's corporate practice in Europe and
also expands the Firm's transactional and regulatory capabilities
internationally.

Mr. May's practice focuses on the representation of banks, investment
funds, asset managers and their advisers, as well as corporations, in public
and private mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and securities
offerings. He has a substantial experience and expertise in financial
services M&A, and has also represented clients in the pharmaceutical,
biotech, real estate, food, defense, IT and publishing sectors.

in London. Mr. May previously served as Legal Adviser to the UK House of
Commons European Scrutiny Select Committee and to the Regulatory Reform
Select Committee. He holds a first class honors degree in law from the
University of Southampton.
