STUTTGART, Germany, June 14, 2011 -

EAC has chosen leading sustainability expert PE
INTERNATIONAL
to provide a sustainability reporting
system
featuring its class leading SoFi
software. This will be used by 70 data collectors to enable EAC
to document sustainability in a project that will be a cornerstone
in bringing its UN Global Compact commitment forward.

EAC consists of two strategic businesses: EAC Foods (Plumrose),
which operates in Venezuela and is the country’s largest player
within the processed meat sector, and EAC Moving & Relocation
Services, which through its Santa Fe, Interdean and WridgWays
brands is a leading provider of moving, value-added relocation and
records management services to corporate and individual clients in
50 countries in Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Australia.

The Group turned to PE INTERNATIONAL for a software system to
report on all three CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) issues:
People, Planet and Profit. Now EAC will document sustainability by
reporting on 20-30 indicators for each of its businesses using SoFi
Software. “This would be a huge data exercise to carry out without
a specialist software tool,” said Jan Barsballe, Group Vice
President of Business Development at EAC.

SoFi is PE INTERNATIONAL’s tool thatallows organisations such as
EAC to organise and access environmental footprint and
sustainability data from their global operations in one central
database. By implementing SoFi to EAC’s specifications PE
INTERNATIONAL can increase the efficiency of data collection,
monitoring and analysis significantly and enable the company to
quickly respond to inquiries with audit-proof data.

“Consultants in the business advised me that PE INTERNATIONAL’s
state-of-the-art software can accommodate any calculations or
analysis we may want to do and the great advantage of SoFi is that
it gives us the ability to create a continuously growing database.”
Ultimately this will allow EAC to incorporate carbon emission
calculation figures, which are being calculated as a separate
project as part of its broader CSR commitment under the UN Global
Compact, which the company has signed up to.

PE INTERNATIONAL’s sustainability reporting system will be a
cornerstone in bringing that commitment forward. Jan Barsballe
commented: “To clearly demonstrate that you are doing what you are
claiming requires a system like the one we have from PE
INTERNATIONAL. It is also an important driver of awareness
internally to help keep the CSR project running. PE has
demonstrated an excellent understanding of our needs and together
we have developed an extremely positive working relationship.”

Paul McNeillis, Director, Sustainability Solutions at PE
INTERNATIONAL, said: “As part of the engagement process we work
closely with our customers to understand their needs and provide
market leading software and consulting solutions that are tailored
to help them achieve their sustainability goals.”
