LONDON - UK Ports operator Forth Ports announced Preliminary Results today. In an
interview with Cantos, Group Chief Executive Charles Hammond described the
Ports performance as ‘very strong with very good margins, very good volumes’
and pointed to the positive ‘Olympic effect’ underpinning Tilbury. He went on
to say that the difficult external environment had affected development
property prices: “We have reduced the market value of a number of our key
property assets including a land bank at Leith Docks. We take the very strong
view that the potential value of these assets remains undiminished.
