Galvin Brothers Announce Launch Date for Galvin La Chapelle and Café De Luxe

LONDON, November 11 - Galvin La Chapelle and Café de Luxe, the latest venture from
the Galvin Brothers, will open its doors in Spital Square, E1, on 18 November
2009
.

The gastrodome will comprise Galvin La Chapelle, a fine dining
restaurant, housed in the beautiful vaulted 19th century Grade II listed St
Botolph's Hall; Café de Luxe, a contemporary all day cafe with outdoor
seating leading on to Bishops Square, and an interconnecting aperitivo bar,
serving light dishes from 5.30pm-7.00pm. In Galvin La Chapelle there is a
private area called 'the Gallery' which is located on the mezzanine and a
Chef's table at floor level, visible through smoked glass sections leading
directly onto 'the pass'.

Chef Patrons Jeff and Chris Galvin, said: "We wanted to create
a place which everyone in the area can call their own and feel at home any
time of the day, but one that also could become the ultimate destination
restaurant.

"It's been a lot of hard work transforming this empty space
from the shell we entered a couple of years ago to the magnificent restaurant
we have today, but we are absolutely delighted with the results. We are
bringing a little of what we have created in the West End to the East End and
we can't wait to open our doors and welcome people in."

Head Sommelier, Andrea Briccarello, has put together an
inspiring cellar, most of which is on display throughout the restaurant.
Galvin Restaurants has established a relationship with Paul Jaboulet Aine,
producers of the famous Hermitage La Chapelle. This enables Galvin La
Chapelle
and Café de Luxe to serve a vertical vintage list, including many
wines not available elsewhere in London, and many available by the glass.
