Global Crossing's UK Unit Appoints Three New Senior Executives

Former Government Minister, C&W Product Director and Airwave Solutions Executives Join Global Crossing
LONDON, February 10, 2011 - Global Crossing (Nasdaq: GLBC), a leading global IP solutions provider,
today announced the addition of three new senior executives to its Global
Crossing (UK) Telecommunications Limited ("GCUK") management team. These
additions increase GCUK's expertise in the government, product marketing and
business development areas in the United Kingdom and Europe.
Ian Pearson, a former minister and Labour MP with a distinguished career
in the UK government, joins GCUK as advisor and senior vice president of
business development. Nigel Stevens, previously product director at Cable &
Wireless Worldwide (C&W), joins GCUK as chief marketing officer for EMEA.
Jeff Parris, formerly a senior executive with Airwave Solutions, joins GCUK
as a senior vice president of business development, with particular
responsibility for the UK public sector portfolio.

-- Ian Pearson served as a Labour Member of Parliament from 1994, elected in the first Labour by-election victory under Tony Blair's leadership, until he stood down before the 2010 General Election. During his ministerial career, Pearson had wide-ranging experience in government and business in the UK and abroad, most recently as Economic Secretary to the Treasury. He served previously as Minister for Science and Innovation (2007-2008), Minister of State for Climate Change and Environment (2006-2007), Minister of State for Trade and Foreign Affairs (2005-2006), Minister of Finance in the Northern Ireland office (2002-2005) and Government Whip (2001-2002). An Oxford undergraduate and Warwick postgraduate, before entering politics Ian was joint Chief Executive of WMEB Group, a West Midlands-based economic development company providing venture and growth capital to small and medium-sized companies and consultancy to a range of public and private clients. -- Nigel Stevens most recently served as a member of the senior management team at Cable & Wireless Worldwide, an international fixed and mobile infrastructure telecoms business delivering voice, data, Internet, converged IP networks and outsourced managed solutions to global businesses. Reporting to the chief operating officer, Stevens was responsible for product strategy, cost of sale and marketing. -- Jeff Parris was one of three directors who established the pounds Sterling 400m turnover Airwave Solutions Ltd, servicing the Security and Public Safety markets. He also has extensive experience working at the highest levels in collaborative ventures, both leading international consortia and partnerships, and at the public and private sector interface. Parris also established the Quadrant Consortium (BT, Motorola, Nokia and TRW), leading 100 multi-disciplined professionals.
