Global Fitness Company Zumba Fitness, LLC Files Multiple Lawsuits Against Counterfeiters

HOLLYWOOD, Florida, April 19, 2011 - Zumba Fitness, LLC, creator of the acclaimed Zumba(R) fitness-party
workout with a global following of millions, announces today that it has
filed five lawsuits in U.S. District Court in California and is preparing to
file several more in the United States and the United Kingdom. The lawsuits
filed include Federal copyright and trademark infringement, state and Federal
unfair competition, and unjust enrichment claims against persons trading in
counterfeit Zumba(R) products in the United States.

"Zumba Fitness works hard to protect the Zumba(R) brand so that Zumba
Instructors all over the world can be more successful," said the company's
General Counsel, Jason Buratti. "This is just the beginning of an enforcement
component to our global efforts in the fight against the unauthorized use of
our brand and copyrights, including piracy and counterfeiting."

Zumba Fitness is presently investigating and evaluating enforcement
proceedings in markets including Europe, Eastern Europe, Australia, and APAC,
several — if not all — of which the company expects to institute
proceedings during the next year. Buratti continues, "Pirated and counterfeit
products harm consumers and businesses alike around the world by depriving
consumers of the high quality products that companies spend vast amounts of
time and resources to create, among other reasons."
