GoldenSource to Explore Data Implications of Upcoming Regulations in Risk Data Webinar
By Goldensource, PRNESunday, January 23, 2011
LONDON, January 24, 2011 - Following an A-TeamGroup survey investigating drivers for risk management
initiatives, GoldenSourceCorporation, a leading provider of Enterprise Data
Management (EDM) solutions, will participate in a webinar examining the
implications of the results for financial institutions. The 'Current State of
Risk Data Quality' webinar on Thursday, 27th January will discuss what the
main drivers for risk management are today, where the biggest challenges lie,
and which areas of regulation are having the biggest impact on data-related
risk initiatives.
As regulators finalize the adequacy rules of Basel III and Solvency II,
the industry needs to improve data and risk management practices in
anticipation of the upcoming changes. Regulators are demanding increased
transparency, enhanced reporting, and an integrated risk management framework
- all of which requires higher quality data than financial institutions have
traditionally maintained.
The webinar will question who is responsible for the management of data
used in risk calculations, and what types of data integration and cleansing
will be required to improve their quality. It will also discuss which areas
of risk financial institutions are focusing on to improve their risk-related
data and ensure compliance with new reporting demands.
Steve Engdahl, SVP ofProduct Strategy at GoldenSource, along with
panelists representing the A-Team Group and risk consultancy InteDelta, will
explore the likely impact regulations will have on data processes, and the
changes they will necessitate to existing infrastructure. To sign up for the
webinar and submit your queries to Steve, please go to
www.a-teamgroup.com/webinar/risk-data-quality/.
Steve will also be available for press interviews prior to and after the
webinar.
