httv Launches Its Turnkey Software Solution for STBs at IBC 2011: httvBOX

- At this year’s IBC edition, httv is proud to demonstrate its httvBOX, an innovative software turnkey solution for connected TVs and STBs.

httvBOX is an embedded software solution. It simplifies and unifies access to all types of content including broadcast, on-demand and OTT programs.

httvBOX offers an extensive range of functionalities, including some innovative features such as:

• User based profil UI such as Kids UI
• Personalized Mosaic
• Push VOD
• Catch-up TV
• On-line enhanced EPG

Hybrid Broadcast Broadband TV, or “HbbTV”, is a pan European project whose goal is to harmonize the broadcast and broadband delivery of entertainment to the viewer through connected TVs and set-top boxes.

httv has supported the development of the HbbTV standard since its creation and is part of the HbbTV consortium. Its httvBOX is HbbTV compliant.

httvBOX’s modular approach can be customized to meet any customer requirements and can also be adapted to accommodate any device from a simple IP or DVB zapper to an advanced hybrid PVR/mediacenter.
