BARCELONA, Spain, February 11, 2011 - IKIVO, the market leading supplier of user experience solutions based on
open web standards, today announced that its Enrich RMC SVG engine is now
shipping. It is accelerated by the 2D graphics engine in Qualcomm's Adreno
200-series GPUs in Qualcomm's Snapdragon chipsets. The integration of Enrich
RMC with Snapdragon's Adreno GPUs empowers developers of applications and
user interfaces across a wide range of consumer electronics devices.
IKIVO's Enrich technology offers higher performance graphics and improved
user experience. Engineered to leverage the OpenGL and OpenVG industry
standard hardware acceleration API, the IKIVO Enrich engine takes full
advantage of the advanced graphics performance of Qualcomm's Adreno GPUs.
IKIVO Enrich includes a tool chain for developers, empowering them to use web
technologies like SVG and JavaScript to develop applications and UIs and
fully utilize the capabilities of Adreno GPUs without the need to program at
the level of the graphics API.
"We are very excited about working with Qualcomm on accelerating
hardware-accelerated SVG on Snapdragon chipsets. Apart from the technological
benefits, the Enrich RMC SVG engine also re-affirms IKIVO as the leading
provider of mobile rich media technology based on open standards," says
Andrew Sledd, VP Business Development and Technology of IKIVO.
