Jewelled Pieces Inspired by Asian Culture to Benefit Children of Conflict

LONDON, December 7 - The 'Protector Collection' has been meticulously created with
Asprey by Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt to benefit a charity close to their
hearts. The limited Collection of fine jewels and silver objects was inspired
by Angelina's reflection on the snake as an iconic guardian, a cultural
symbol of family protection and fertility. All net proceeds will be donated
to the international Education Partnership For Children of Conflict (EPCC)
which benefits children in regions across Asia.

During Angelina's first pregnancy she was given a snake ring,
to guard her and her unborn child. She has subsequently given birth to Shiloh
and her twins, Vivienne and Knox, and the symbol has become endowed with
great personal importance as a family guardian. It is this snake icon that
has provided inspiration for the Protector Collection and has been
interpreted into various forms from jewelled pendants, bracelets and rings to
a children's tooth box and silver egg cup.

The Asian culture was an enormous inspiration for Angelina and
Brad when creating the Protector Collection, including extensive travel and
research across the continent. The texture of the local snakes was studied
and interpreted into hand carved scales in this sculptured jewellery -
bringing to life the fluid dimensions and movement of the snake.

The gold and jewelled snake anklet and bracelets are directly
influenced by the beautiful bells of SE Asia, where the snake signifies
protection and the tradition of creating bells an honoured occupation
associated with courage, strength and integrity. Angelina and Brad explored
the significance of colour in the region - white representing purity and
brightness and black the dark westerly skies thought to be heaven. The finest
white and black diamonds were used in creating the pieces and all the faceted
and the coloured gems cut in Asia.

Angelina's love for Asia is shown by her charity work for the
children in Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand and China. She adopted her son Maddox
from Cambodia and Pax from Vietnam.

The individual pieces in The Protector Collection are limited
editions, handcrafted at the Asprey London flagship store, 167 New Bond
Street. The Collection can also be viewed online at www.asprey.com. Prices
available on request.
