LONDON, June 13, 2011 -
M.A.C Cosmetics and the M.A.C Pro Team
decamped to the legendary Isle of Wight Festival
to keep a host of top celebrities, performers and guests looking
refreshed from dusk until dawn.
As the festival celebrated its 10th anniversary in
its current incarnation, the M.A.C Pro Team were on hand to
provide the ultimate festival makeup facilities for guests in the
coveted IOW Festival Hospitality area and in the Artist
Village all weekend.
M.A.C Pro Artists also had their brushes at the ready
backstage in the festival green rooms where they provided makeup
services to key talent performing over the weekend. They
created a dazzling theatrical look for singer Pixie Lott who
opted for a nude lip created using M.A.C Pencil in Boldly Bare
with M.A.C Clear lipglass on the top. She also chose
M·A·C Eyeshadows in Contrast and Electric Eeel, as well as M.A.C
Glitter in Reflex Teal finished off with M.A.C Technakohl in Graph
Black and M.A.C Fluidline in Blacktrack to create a bold blue
hued eye. Pixie also wanted a festival touch to her look so
M.A.C Pro Trainer Dean Rudd painted ornate blue flower buds
on the side of her face using M.A.C Pro Acrylic Paints in Marine
Ultra and Pure White.
Female singer Imelda May requested M·A·C Lipstick in
Ruby Woo (which she “can’t live without!”), M·A·C
StudioFix Fluid in NC20, M.A.C Mineralise Skin Finish
in Light and M.A.C Liquidlast Liner in Point Black to
create her signature Rockabilly look.
Performer Sharon Corr wore M.A.C Eyeshadow in
Copperplate, M.A.C Eye Kohl in Smolder and M·A·C Opulash Mascara on
her eyes. M·A·C Lipstick in Cosmo and M·A·C Lip Pencil in Soar were
applied to her lips.
M.A.C provided the make up for new girl band Parade who took
to the stage on Saturday night. Sian opted for a bright pink
lip using M.A.C Lipstick in Impassioned coupled with a black
flick on her eyes using M.A.C Fluidline in Blacktrack.
Bianca chose a black smokey eye which was created using
M.A.C’s Eye Kohl in Smolder, M.A.C Paint Pot in Blackground,
M.A.C Fluidline in Blacktrack and M.A.C Zoom Lash Mascara in Fast
Black for full fluttering lashes. Emily decided on a
black winged out eye and a pale pink lip using M.A.C’s new Sheen
Supreme Lipstick in Behave Yourself. Lauren selected a bright
neon lip which was created using M.A.C Lipstick in Morange with
M.A.C Neon Orange Pigment packed on top for extra drama. Last
but by no means least, Jessica selected a grey smokey eye
using M.A.C Paint Pot in Blackground and M.A.C Eyeshadow in
Reflects Antiqued clubbed with M.A.C Zoomlash Mascara in
Zoom Black. M.A.C’s Viva Glam Lipstick in Lady Gaga 2 was
applied to her lips for a subtle peach look.
Breakthrough singer Laura Steel opted for a pop-punk
look. Her fierce eyes were created using M.A.C Paint Pot in
Painterly, M.A.C Eyeshadows in Gesso, Silver Ring, Carbon and
Embark. M·A·C Fascinating Eye Pencil, M·A·C Zoom Lash in Zoom Black
and #33 Lashes were also applied. Her dark rimmed red lips were
a combination of M.A.C Lip Pencil in Nightmoth and Brick and
M·A·C Lipstick in Ruby Woo.
Many of the VIP’s and Talent that visited the M.A.C area
in hospitality requested glitter… and the colour of choice for lips
was M.A.C’s Lady Danger Lipstick. M.A.C Paintpots in
Groundwork and Constructivist were some of the most popular
requests.
