GAITHERSBURG, Maryland - For SMEs invested in analog PBX and POTS telephony equipment, Patton’s reduced pricing places the stability and interoperability of carrier-class SmartNode(TM) VoIP within budgetary reach

Patton (www.patton.com) — the leader in business and carrier-class network access, connectivity, Voice-over-IP and triple-play equipment — announces reduced pricing on all FXS models of the SmartNode(TM) 4110 VoIP Gateway Series effective 1 June 2009.

Expected to stimulate the analog VoIP gateway market, Patton’s lower prices reflect an average decrease of 20 to 40 percent for distributors, resellers and end-user customers.

In spite of the current economic crisis, the lower pricing makes the stability and interoperability of Patton’s high-end, carrier-class SmartNode VoIP equipment affordable for small to medium enterprises (SMEs).

According to Burton A. Patton, Executive Vice President, “Recent technology and process innovations at Patton have brought substantial cost-savings in our analog gateway production. Over the years our customers have stood by us through all the economic storms. During the present global economic downturn, it makes perfect sense to pass our savings along to those who have sustained our business through those other tough times.”

By installing SmartNode(TM) FXS gateways, businesses can realize the cost-saving and technology benefits of IP telephony while preserving their investments in traditional analog voice systems and extending the useful life of existing POTS telephony equipment.

Manufactured at Patton’s USA headquarters and providing 2, 4 or 8 analog FXS ports, the high-performance SmartNode(TM) 4110 series connects traditional analog POTS PBX equipment and phones to the IP telephony network and the PSTN.

Patton is currently developing a mid-density analog VoIP gateway product line for SMEs that provides 12 to 24 FXS ports. Patton expects to release the low-cost, high-performance SmartNode 4400 series during Q3 2009.

Patton marked their silver anniversary on 1 January 2009 and named a new CEO the same day.
