Privatisation of Hutchison Telecom International Becomes Effective

HONG KONG, May 25, 2010 - Hutchison Whampoa Limited and Hutchison Telecommunications International
Limited ("HTIL") today jointly announced that further to their joint
announcement yesterday, the privatisation of HTIL became effective on 25 May
2010 (Hong Kong time).
