GROWTH DRIVEN BY SIGNIFICANT INCREASE IN INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS AND CONTINUED STRONG DOMESTIC PRODUCT DEMAND
TEWKSBURY, Massachusetts, January 27 - Tactical Communications Group, LLC (TCG) (www.g2tcg.com) the
market leading, privately-held independent provider of tactical data link
("TDL") solutions for military test, training and operational users
worldwide, today announced record revenue, bookings and net income results
for the twelve months ended December 31, 2009.
Revenues, bookings and net income all increased approximately 25% during
the twelve months ended December 31, 2009 as compared to annual 2008
operating results. These record 2009 results were primarily attributable to
continued strong domestic market acceptance of the Company's three tactical
data link product offerings, LinkPRO, Battlefield Operations Support System
("BOSS") and Ground Tactical Data Link System ("GTS"), as well as significant
international business growth in 2009, as compared to the same period in
2008. These results also represented the fourth consecutive year of
substantial revenue, booking and net income growth for TCG.
Select operating highlights behind TCG's record 2009 financial
performance include:
- LinkPRO, the Company's military standard, highly scalable and extensible data link processing engine which supports multiple tactical data links and interfaces, was selected and used by several global prime government system providers as the data link processing subsystem for their ground command and control systems. These operational ground command and control systems, which utilize LinkPRO as the core data link processor, have been delivered to and deployed by government customers in Europe and Asia-Pacific. - BOSS, TCG's market-leading software application which enables comprehensive testing of data link solutions to US military and international standards, including evaluation and testing under highly simulated conditions, continued to be the testing "gold-standard' and solution of choice for major prime government system providers, and military test and evaluation communities worldwide. - GTS, the Company's operational solution which is used for training and operational data link applications in live Link 16 operating networks, enjoyed tremendous success in 2009, with GTS winning several high-profile competitive international engagements. GTS has now been successfully deployed and is in use in the US and throughout countries in Europe, Asia Pacific and the Middle East, in both training and live operational applications.
Complementing these competitive market successes in 2009, the Company
also significantly expanded its product line during 2009, enhanced its
engineering capacity and resources, and added seasoned business development
executives during 2009 to focus on new US and international business
opportunities.
"2009 was indeed a successful and pivotal year for TCG," said Martin
McDonough, TCG's President and CEO. "With our world-class, experienced
development team, we have focused for years on developing innovative tactical
data link-centric software solutions for the worldwide test, training and
operational communities. Our great success in 2009 is a testament to our
focus, vision and product superiority, as well as our unwavering commitment
to excellence in the support of our global customers.
As we enter 2010, we are extremely well-positioned to exploit the
continued global demand for TDL test-and-training solutions. We are also
focused on being highly responsive to changing market conditions and on
delivering new, innovative TDL-based software solutions during 2010 required
for evolving operational needs. The needs of the operational community,
particularly in the rapidly-growing Intelligence, Surveillance and
Reconnaissance ("ISR") and Digitally-Aided Close Air Support ("DACAS") market
segments, are changing rapidly and we believe our 2009 operational successes
with LinkPRO and GTS position us well to serve these new opportunities. In
sum, we believe our suite of market-leading software solutions is very
well-aligned with the ongoing needs of our global customer base, and we look
forward to another strong year in 2010 and continuing to be the leading
privately-held, independent global provider of tactical data link software
solutions."
