Tata Interactive Systems Sets up Center of Excellence to Foster Thought Leadership and Core Expertise

Tata Interactive Systems (TIS), the pioneer and global leader custom learning solutions, sets up Centers of Excellence to deliver outstanding customer service
Tata Interactive Systems (TIS), a division of Tata Industries Limited, supports key organizational initiatives through its multifarious offerings.
TIS has decided to move to an account based delivery structure. This structure was suggested by a cross functional task force comprising of senior members of TIS. The new structure is aimed at serving its clients in the most effective & efficient manner through focused account responsibility. The focused account responsibility would also enable higher workforce engagement along with a richer width of experience.
The new delivery structure will have seven work units and six centers of excellence.
Work units shall focus and excel in delivery whereas Centers of Excellence shall foster thought leadership and core expertise for differentiated products. With dedicated account teams, the new structure will aid building long term relationships with clients. Clients of TIS will now interact with a common set of resources and can relate with a single team handling their numerous projects.
The six Centers of Excellence (COE) comprising of very senior experienced members would primarily provide thought leadership and would bring in their domain of expertise towards successful execution of projects. . The Centers of Excellence (COE) are:
- Simulations & TOPSIM
- Serious Games
- 3D Animation
- Mobile/Tablet Applications
- Portal & Custom Applications
- Products- Learning Management Systems, Participant Tracking System, &Assessment Engine (Cybertest)
“The primary goal behind this change is to delight our key clients through hassle free delivery and maximize the business we do with them. The new structure will bring in joint ownership of clients’ between account team members comprising of senior designers& business managers, vertical teams and sales person handling the account,” says Pinaki Gupta, Chief of Operations, TATA Interactive Systems.
The new structure will unlock talent from different business units and enable resources to move across projects.
