TCP Innovations Opens First US Office

CAMBRIDGE, England - TCP Innovations, the Cambridge-based life sciences consultancy and seed investment fund, announced today the opening of its first office in the United States. The company has appointed Dr Robert W. Schroff as a Principal Consultant, who will lead a growing team of US consultants, closely integrated with the existing European group, to perform consulting projects for US clients. The US operation will be managed through the new office in Seattle, Washington.

Founded in 2001, TCP Innovations has grown into one of Europe’s most successful life sciences consultancies, covering therapeutics, diagnostics, medical devices and healthcare technology. It has also been responsible for founding half a dozen new life sciences businesses, including the rapidly growing contract research organisation, Total Scientific, based on the Babraham science park and Funxional Therapeutics, a clinical-stage therapeutics company with exciting anti-inflammatory products in development, which has offices in central Cambridge.

David Grainger, a Principal Consultant at TCP Innovations said: “Opening an office in the United States, which represents the biggest market for our services, is an exciting step forward for our company. The expansion into the US also marks a new departure for the seed investment fund, which has recently supported a company based in the San Francisco bay area of California.
