Tektronix Communications Selected by PAETEC for End-to-End VoIP Service Assurance

- PAETEC to Monitor and Troubleshoot VoIP Applications for Improved
Quality of Experience and Enhanced ROI
Tektronix Communications, a leading worldwide provider of communications
test and Network Intelligence solutions, announced that its Iris suite of
products has been selected by PAETEC, a Fortune 1000 company that provides
complete communications solutions for over 50,000 businesses, enterprise
organizations and institutions. PAETEC plans to use the products to provide
active and passive end-to-end monitoring and troubleshooting across its
network spanning 86 of the top 100 MSAs in the U.S.
PAETEC selected Tektronix Communications' Iris suite of products to
provide Key Performance Indicators for a holistic view of end-to-end network
performance. IrisView, a configurable software platform, provides a single
sign on, integrated platform for all applications, including feeds to
customer experience management (CEM) systems and third party OSS, BSS
applications. In addition, the Iris suite provides full and accurate
correlation of every call to ensure all relevant messages for a session are
collected and analyzed.

PAETEC will use Tektronix Communications' GeoProbe network assurance
platform, which will enable PAETEC to proactively address quality performance
issues through the use of real-time alerts and ongoing historical analysis.
As part of the solution, PAETEC will be utilizing Tektronix Communications'
Active Assurance product suite, which includes DirectQuality and the
PowerProbe 6000, to simulate users on their network and test all the way to
the customer premises. Leveraging these tools, PAETEC will be able to run
loopback tests to CPE devices to monitor and assure the highest customer
quality of experience. PAETEC can also proactively test their core network by
continually running test calls from one SBC location to another, checking for
issues such as Echo, Noise, PESQ MOS, delay, etc.
