Tube City IMS UK Operation Receives Outstanding Achievement in Safety Award

PITTSBURGH, March 24, 2011 - Tube City IMS Corporation, a leading provider of products and services to
steel mills and foundries globally, today announced that its Tube City IMS UK
operation, based in Scunthorpe, England, has received the prestigious
"Outstanding Achievement in Safety Award" from the North Lincolnshire Health
& Safety Group.
The award, which recognizes companies that excel in safety performance,
was presented by the group at its annual awards ceremony in Scunthorpe. More
than 160 people, including Lincolnshire's manufacturing industries, local
dignitaries and officials of the United Kingdom safety group attended the
gala. A total of 19 companies were recognized for exceeding health and safety
targets, with Tube City IMS UK taking home the special award. Tube City IMS
UK has won the "Safety Achievement Award" every year since 2005, but this is
the first time it has received the "Outstanding Achievement in Safety Award."
Marco Gravina, General Manager, Tube City IMS UK, and Don Jowett,
Environmental, Safety and Quality Manager, Tube City IMS UK, were presented
with a solid silver trophy to display for the next 12 months, along with a
permanent glass trophy.
"It was an honor to receive this award in the presence of our local
elected officials and so many professionals. It truly recognizes the hard
work of the whole group, and it reflects the commitment of every employee to
the Company's safety program," Mr. Jowett said.
Mr. Gravina also thanked the panel and the employees for the award. "We
are honored that Tube City IMS UK has received such an important and
distinguished award that demonstrates our constant commitment to safety," he
said.
