UK Women Are Moisturising the Wrong Cheeks!

With the latest celebrity trend towards beautiful and ‘bootilicious’ bottoms, it seems unbelievable that a recent survey - conducted by the skincare experts for the Jergens® Naturals® brand, showed that barely half of the British women who moisturise their faces, give their bum next to no attention at all (1).

The Feel Fantastic Skincare Experience initiative, found that women who moisturise regularly, are the most body-confident (2). All participants in the four week experience received a 200ml Jergens® Naturals® body moisturiser to trial, and were encouraged to feedback their results.. A staggering 92% of the participants saw a visible difference after just two weeks of using the Jergens® Naturals® body moisturiser! (3).

Bottom of the nation’s bottoms were the Manchester testers - with barely over 40% showing their bums any moisturising love. Regionally (and perhaps unsurprisingly!) Londoners had the most stringent skincare regimes, with over 60% of those surveyed ensuring they moisturised their bum as well as moisturising their face (4).

And moisturised bottoms are good news for British men too - the survey found that women who’d used the product for four weeks were more likely to get naked in front of their partners (5).  10% of the women surveyed claimed they now felt so confident about their body that they’d happily walk down the street naked! 4356 users took the survey

4009 were women

This was open to UK residents and the survey was published on the Jergens® Naturals® Facebook page. Every person that took part in the survey was offered a free bottle of Jergens® Naturals® full size moisturiser

Statistics to support copy:

(1) 4009 women were surveyed, of those 3453 moisturised their face (86%), and of those 1954 moisturised their bum (57%).

(2) 4009 women were surveyed.

Of those that moisturised daily (sample 2016), 29 (1%) said they felt extremely confident, and 695 (34%) said they felt pretty confident.

Of those that moisturised twice daily (sample 495), 15 (3%) said they felt extremely confident, and 183 (37%) said they felt pretty confident.

Of those women that moisturised daily or twice daily (sample 2511), 922 (37%) said they felt ‘extremely confident - I could walk down the street naked’ or ‘pretty confident - more than happy for my partner to see me naked’

(5) From a sample of 1342 women who reported back in week 4, 846 (63%) said they felt ‘Pretty confident - more than happy for my partner to see me naked’.
