WestOne Cars Launches First of its Kind Stand-Alone Booking Kiosk

WestOne Cars has launched a new stand-alone booking platform
‘The Kiosk’. The innovative, user-friendly, touch-screen podium can
be installed anywhere, such as pubs, bars, restaurants, hotel
foyers and even reception areas of businesses, and allows customers
to make cash and/or credit card minicab bookings within
minutes.

The Kiosk, the first of its kind booking system, has been
developed in-house at WestOne Cars and operates seamlessly with
their leading-edge booking and job allocation system. As such it is
able to give accurate information to the customer regarding car
arrival times.

The Kiosk, which has been trialled for the past couple of months
at an exclusive venue in London, has received a flow of positive
feedback from customers and clients. Venues wishing to install the
Kiosk simply have to contact WestOne Cars to discuss the simple
set-up process.

Once installed bookings can be taken immediately. The simple,
step-by-step process requires customers to enter limited
information such as drop-off address and contact number. Details of
their journey, as well as the car registration number and
notification of the car’s arrival are all sent to the customer via
text message.

Amarjit Pall said: “The Kiosk grew from an idea we had in the
business about making it easy for customers to identify and book
licensed minicabs but also for venues to be able to provide a
simple and easy-to-manage option to their customers. Many venues
say that they have a desire to be able to provide added value
services to their clients but, in reality, being able to book
minicabs is not feasible, particularly on a busy weekend night. The
Kiosk provides a win-win opportunity as venues can support their
customers in this way without any additional work for themselves.
 We have made it as simple as possible for venues to be able
to utilise this booking option and, we hope, they will be keen to
work with us to roll this out across the Capital.”

This initiative is the first of a series of planned launches for
the passenger car brand which has undergone some radical changes
over the past 6 months. The Kiosk is an integral part of its growth
strategy with plans to install the innovative booking system in a
significant number of venues over the next six months.
