ADELAIDE, Australia, May 4, 2011 - Last Tuesday at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre was the world premiere
of a unique collaboration between two worldwide artists. It was the first
time André Rieu & The Seekers performed together. The Seekers have reunited
especially for André Rieu's Australian tour, and together with Rieu and his
Johann Strauss orchestra are playing a few of their greatest hits, including
Georgy Girl.

The unique collaboration already began at the start of April in Rieu's
studio in Maastricht, the Netherlands. Here the first rehearsals took place,
which was a special experience for everyone.
"Musicians understand each other very quickly. You start making music
together and there was immediate chemistry. After two days we completely
tuned in to one another. It was of course also exciting for the Seekers, not
having played for so long and first time with an orchestra. "These are
experienced musicians, you can tell straight away", said André Rieu.
The Adelaide audience reacted with great enthusiasm, and you could also
see this in the musicians. A special moment for The Seekers to be on stage
again. They were visibly enjoying it.
"Fantastic, we had an amazing sensation when we got off stage. The energy
you get really changes you! It was great being on stage with André and his
orchestra! The response from the audience was uplifting," said The Seekers'
lead singer Judith Durhamn.
Rieu's Australian tour is going on until 19 May. For more information
