2nd Call for DigestScience European Projects for a Total of 500,000 Euros

LOOS, France, October 7, 2010 - The DigestScience Foundation is launching a European call for tenders to
support cutting-edge research into digestive tract diseases: "Manipulation of
intestinal flora in health and disease : areas of interest include
genetically selected/modified organisms, virus, phages, parasites, novel
prebiotics…That will help patients with intestinal diseases."
The funding amounts to 500,000 Euros
over 2 years (2011-2012).

General terms:
Candidates will be selected in two stages:
1. The first stage is the submission of a letter of interest by
2pm on 15 November 2010. The best candidates as selected by the Foundation's
scientific committee will then be invited to submit a full application.
Decisions following the assessment of letters of interest: 25
November 2010.
2. The second stage is the submission of a full application by 15
January 2011.
Applications will be reviewed by the Foundation's scientific
committee with the assistance of international experts (chosen on the basis
of their experience and the nature of the application).
The final decision will be announced during the ECCO congress
(24-26 February 2011).
