Aleris Names Kelly R. Thomas Vice President and Treasurer

BEACHWOOD, Ohio, September 6, 2011 -

Aleris named Kelly R. Thomas vice president and Treasurer, effective September 1, 2011, responsible for Global Treasury operations, Investor Relations and Global Risk.  Thomas, currently vice president, Global Risk, succeeds Michael J. Hobey, who will become vice president, Finance for the company’s Rolled Products North America business.

Thomas has nearly 20 years of financial and commercial leadership experience. Prior to joining Aleris in 2010, Thomas was vice president, Alcoa Materials Management Europe. Before Alcoa, she held management positions at IBM and Reynolds Metals.

Thomas has a B.S. in Finance from the University of Virginia.
