By Banctec, PRNETuesday, April 20, 2010
DALLAS, April 21, 2010 - BancTec Inc. (www.banctec.com), a global provider of advanced,
high-volume, document and payment processing solutions and services,
announced today that EDGE Document Solutions (edgedocllc.com) has
selected its Multi-Vendor Services division
(www.banctec.com/services/multi-vendor-services) to provide
installation and maintenance support on pressure seal equipment that EDGE
bundles within integrated folder/sealer solutions it sells to school
districts and other organizations with large mailing needs. The multi-year,
nationwide agreement will cover installs and maintenance on new equipment
sales, as well as service on some existing contracts.
"In order to expand our national presence, as well as to handle some
existing lines of business, we needed a service partner with a large number
of highly skilled employees spread across the country. After speaking with
one of their other clients, we found that partner in BancTec," said Ben
Bickham, contract administrator for EDGE Document Solutions. "Their ability
to immediately assume service on some important existing contracts, as well
as to handle installation and maintenance on new sales going forward, was
critical. In addition, BancTec's cost structure made it such that we could
provide a high level of service at very competitive rates, which is key to
ensuring customer satisfaction after the sale. We look forward to the new
opportunities this relationship will enable us to pursue."
"BancTec's Multi-Vendor Services team is able to provide a broad range of
customizable service solutions for a multitude of electro-mechanical
devices," said Terry Holash, vice president, Americas Multi-Vendor Services,
BancTec. "EDGE Document Solutions' need for nationwide installation and
maintenance services on pressure seal equipment perfectly aligns with our
business model. As a result, they will be able to expand their footprint
without investing in a large service team of their own, and to do so
cost-effectively. We are excited about partnering with them in this effort."
