Benson Industries Selects Valla 25EL Arm-Lift Pick-and-Carry Machine for World Trade Center Development Project

Valla's unique engineering beats out traditional crane and forklift solutions for complex curtain wall installation project

LOS ANGELES, September 1, 2010 - Valla S.p.A., an Italian manufacturer of custom arm-lift precision
pick-and-carry machines, announced today the first North American sale of two
next-generation 25E Light machines to Benson Industries. A leader in curtain
wall supply and installation, Benson Industries has been selected to install
the complex curtain walling system designed to clad both the Freedom Tower
and Tower 4 of The World Trade Center (WTC) development in New York City.

The Valla 25E family of newly engineered machines were launched January,
2010, and are designed specifically for curtain walling applications. "Having
just opened our North American office in Los Angeles this year we're proud
that one of our first sales allows Valla to play a part in the rebirth of the
World Trade Center," says Antonio Valla, owner and CEO of Valla S.p.A.

An electric vehicle weighting in at just 4,400 pounds with a lift
capacity up to 2.25 Tons, the Valla 25E Light can easily be transported
between building floors, features speed and precision placement capabilities
crucial for curtain walling functions and has innovative user safety systems
to protect operators.

Specific engineering innovations for the Valla 25E family of machines
include:

    - A negative boom reach with a special hydraulic winch that provides
      approximately 223 feet of usable wire with two different speeds: 42
      feet per minute with no load and 19.6 feet per minute with the load;

    - A dual speed AC motor for environmentally safe indoor operation;

    - Advanced safety systems such as front braking, an electronic LMI (Load
      Moment Indicator) system, and a new wireless remote control option to
      keep operators at a safe distance from the materials handling zone.
