LONDON, August 27, 2010 - UK university students have chosen Liberty Living as Best Private Halls
Provider 2010 in this year's National Student Housing Survey. The survey is
now in its 3rd year and is having a major impact on the industry's commitment
to service levels.
The NSHS annual survey of over 10,000 students across the UK, which was
announced on August 25, showed Liberty Living's award was based on the
highest levels of customer satisfaction. Liberty Living scored particularly
well in the categories for the condition and quality of its properties, the
student's relationship with management and the repairs categories - all areas
where proactive professional management can add value.
The survey clearly indicates that Liberty Living's focus on managing its
accommodation using its team of experienced and motivated General Managers to
deliver quality customer service has earned it its place as the best private
provider in the industry.
Today's students are far more quality-focused so the standard of student
accommodation required is of an increasingly sophisticated nature. Whilst the
key reason for choosing a university for study is the resulting
qualification, research has shown that the standard of accommodation is an
important ingredient in the criteria of university choice. The demand for
quality en-suite accommodation experienced in the past five years by many
universities illustrates this point dramatically.
Liberty Living's CEO, Charles Marshall, responds, "I am thrilled and
delighted for all in Liberty Living whose hard work and professional
dedication to provide attractive accommodation to our tenants has been
appropriately rewarded. We aspire always to remember that our tenants are our
customers and therefore to treat them in accordance with our company values.
It is gratifying to see acknowledgement by our customer base that our
business approach is bearing fruit."
Institutions in the survey included many private providers, as well as
response from more than 120 universities and colleges in the UK.
Liberty Living manages nearly 15,000 beds in 17 cities. With its key
focus on the customer, Liberty Living will analyse the results of the survey
and take time to read all of the comments made during the survey by its
customers and will use that information to support its continuous improvement
programme for enhanced service delivery.
