FRANKFURT, Germany and RIO DE JANEIRO, October 27, 2011 -

In under 40 days, the Women’s Handball World Championship will start in Brazil. For the first time, the Brazilian Handball Federation will rely on the specialized services offered by a German logistics company. In Conceptum Sport Logistics ( ), the Federation has gained an exclusive logistics partner. With its own branch in Rio de Janeiro, the company is represented locally and has extensive experience of operating in South America. In July, Conceptum Sport Logistics supported the Military World Games as a trial run for the Olympic Games 2016 in Brazil.

Conceptum Sport Logistics also assists several Olympic committees from Central and South America in logistics processes at the Pan American Games. Marion Klintworth, athlete and logistics expert, is in charge of the Brazilian subsidiary of Conceptum Sport Logistics and, together with the international logistics team, is at the disposal of the athletes. Sebastian Stahl, CEO of the company, based near Frankfurt, considers efficient sports equipment logistics to be one of the most important factors for successful competitions: “Athletes have to concentrate fully on the competition and its preparation. Customs formalities or travel arrangements should not be a part of their workload!”, says the logistics expert.

The Brazilian Organizers Committee relies on the company’s logistics chain - this involves international transport as well as customs clearance. Conceptum Sport Logistics is also responsible for transport between the four host cities in Brazil. Particularly decisive in the international competition for the logistics partnership was the company’s worldwide representation with subsidiaries in all strategically important sports venues, general experience in sports and the personal assistance: “We work with heart and mind. Only this way can we be the athletes’ backup!”, says Stahl.
