Industry Visionaries to Discuss Best Practices in Enterprise-to-Cloud Migration and SOA Threat Defense

BOSTON and BERLIN, September 21, 2010 - Crosscheck Networks, Inc. (www.crosschecknet.com/) today announced
that CEO Mamoon Yunus and CTO Jason Macy will participate in two sessions,
and the company will showcase its simulation, testing, and security product
suite in Booth # 13, at the International SOA & Cloud Symposium
(soasymposium.com/). The third and second annual co-located events,
designed to explore modern service technologies and best practices, will take
place October 5-6 in Berlin, Germany.

In "Requirements for Extending Enterprise SOA to Public Clouds
(soasymposium.com/agenda2010.php)," Yunus will examine federated SOA
as the foundation for a robust enterprise-to-cloud governance platform, and
extending to public clouds as a logical evolution of enterprise
infrastructure. The session, taking place on Tuesday, October 5 at 1:15 p.m.
CEST
, will address several key concepts that will help IT executives properly
assess which applications to migrate from the enterprise to a cloud
including:

    - The basics of federated SOA as a necessary pre-requisite for
      extending an enterprise to the cloud;
    - Analysis techniques for selecting IaaS vendors that suit
      corporate policies and technology requirements;
    - Understanding run-time and management issues in building and
      maintaining an enterprise-to-cloud gateway.

Also, on Tuesday, October 5 at 2:15 p.m. CEST Macy will present "SOA
Threat Modelling: Attacking and Defending REST, XML and SOAP-based Services
(soasymposium.com/agenda2010.php)." For successful services-based
application integration projects, ease-of-system integration without
compromising security is paramount. However, typical enterprise threat
analysis focuses on network security, but lacks knowledge of REST, XML or
SOAP. As such, during this session, Macy will discuss how to identify SOA
security threats including SQL Injection, Denial of Service, SwA Malware and
XSD Mutation. Additionally, attendees will learn counter-measure techniques
for effectively mitigating risk exposure.

"The International SOA & Cloud Symposium is happy to welcome Crosscheck
Networks as a sponsor to our third edition," said Gert van de Donk,
International SOA & Cloud Symposium Team. "In addition to sharing their
knowledge in the extensive conference program, Crosscheck Networks will
showcase their solutions in the exhibition area. Especially seen is the extra
attention to Cloud Computing this year, a welcome addition to our partner
list."
