Dr. Ofer Shochet to Discuss Latest Requirements of Fortune 500 Companies and Service Bureaus and Reveal Newest Advances in Multi-Material Inkjet-Based Technology for Simulating Engineering Plastics
BILLERICA, Massachusetts, March 31, 2011 - Objet Geometries Ltd. (www.objet.com/), the innovation leader in
3D printing (www.objet.com/3D-Printer/Products_Overview/) for rapid
prototyping (www.objet.com/rapid_prototyping/) and additive
manufacturing, today announced that Executive Vice President for Products,
Dr. Ofer Shochet will address this weeks 3D Systems User Group (3DSUG)
Conference to talk about the latest rapid prototyping requirements of Fortune
500 organizations and leading service bureaus and how inkjet-based
multi-material 3D printing is generating a significant change in the
visualization and testing of product designs.
"I am excited to speak at 3DSUG Conference. The attendees of this
conference are experts in rapid prototyping and pride themselves on their
in-depth knowledge of the technologies available to help their organization,"
said Dr. Ofer Shochet, Executive VP of Products for Objet Geometries. "It's
an honor to address this audience to discuss our groundbreaking advances in
3D printing and to hear directly from them how these advances relate to their
products development processes and needs."
The 2011 3DSUG Conference brings together operators and owners from
leading companies to encourage and coordinate technical information exchange
on rapid prototyping technologies. The event is being held at the Miami
downtown Hilton from April 3rd to April 7th.
Shochet will present Objet's recent multi-material technology
breakthrough; an ABS-like material simulating the performance of engineering
plastics, and how these improved material and mechanical properties will
change the world of 3D printing. Dr. Shochet will also reveal a number of
substantial investments Objet has made in R&D to meet the stringent
prototyping requirements of global companies worldwide.
Objet is also a sponsor of the event and will participate in the vendor
fair, showcasing the new Objet24 Desktop 3D printer, the industry's
highest-resolution desktop 3D printer, enabling designers and engineers to
create true-to-life models and prototypes featuring ultra-precise details and
smooth surfaces.
Also on display will be the Objet Connex500, the only 3D printer
technology that enables simultaneous jetting of multiple materials
(www.objet.com/3D-Printer/Objet_Connex_Family/). The Objet Connex
multi-material 3D printer allows users to create a range of up to 51 rigid
and rubber-like composite materials, -or "Digital Materials" (
www.objet.com/3D-Printing-Materials/Overview/Connex500_Digital_Materials/)
featuring a wide range of Shore scale A values for rubber like
simulation, a gray shade scale for rigid material simulation, and
polypropylene simulation in terms of mechanical properties. This unique
ability allows users to create models with as many as 14 different material
properties in one part while also creating prototypes with overmolds and soft
touch areas in a single build.

Additionally, Objet will showcase a number of upcoming new materials
featuring improved mechanical and thermal properties, true transparency and
properties simulating engineering plastics. The company will also be hosting
an onsite hands-on technical seminar to the highlight best practices for
maintaining Objet 3D printers.

About Objet Geometries
Objet Geometries Ltd. (www.objet.com/), the innovation leader in
3D printing for rapid prototyping and additive manufacturing, provides
3-dimensional printing systems that enable manufacturers and industrial
designers to reduce cost of product development and dramatically shorten
time-to-market of new products.
Objet's ultra-thin-layer, high-resolution 3-dimensional printing systems
and materials utilize PolyJet polymer jetting technology, to print ultra-thin
16-micron layers. The market-proven Objet Eden line of 3D Printing Systems
and the Objet24 and Objet30 3D desktop printers are based on Objet's patented
office-friendly PolyJet Technology. The Objet Connex multi-material family is
based on Objet's PolyJet Matrix Technology, which jets multiple model
materials simultaneously and creates composite Digital Materials on the fly.
All Objet systems use Objet's FullCure(R) materials to create accurate,
clean, smooth, and highly detailed 3D parts.
Objet systems are in use by customers worldwide, including Fortune 100
companies, in multiple industries such as Dental, Medical, Medical Devices,
Education, Consumer Electronics, Automotive, toys, consumer goods, and
footwear industries.
Founded in 1998, Objet serves its growing global customer base through
offices in USA, Mexico, Europe, Japan, China and Hong Kong, and a global
