Endeavour Mourns Loss of Board Member Thomas Clark

HOUSTON, October 12, 2010 - Endeavour International Corporation (NYSE Amex: END) (LSE: ENDV)
announced today that Thomas D. Clark, Jr., a member of the board of
directors, died on October 9, 2010. Clark had served as a director of the
corporation since 2006, most recently as chairman of the company's Nominating
and Governance Committee and as a member of the Technology and Reserves
Committee.
"We are deeply saddened by the sudden and unexpected loss of our
director. Tom was passionate about his family and faith," said William L.
Transier, chairman, chief executive officer and president. "An educator at
heart, Tom was a well known leader in corporate governance matters. We will
greatly miss his guidance and support as our director and our friend."
Clark was president of Strategy Associates, a consulting firm
specializing in strategy development, strategic planning assistance,
corporate governance policy and corporate analysis. He was the Edward G.
Schlieder Distinguished Chair of Information Science at Louisiana State
University and director of the DECIDE Boardroom, an executive decision
research and development facility. He served as vice chairman of the
Louisiana Tobacco Settlement Corp., and was a member of the board of
directors of Dynegy, Inc. Active in the community, Clark served on several
professional, community, volunteer and service boards, currently including
the United Way and the Istrouma Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
Clark was previously dean of the E.J. Ourso College of Business
Administration at Louisiana State University and Ourso Distinguished
Professor of Business. He was also professor and research director at Florida
State University and the Gage Crocker Outstanding Professor at the Air Force
Institute of Technology where he served in the School of Engineering. Prior
to entering the field of education, Clark served as a Decision Analyst for
the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force of U.S. and served as Functional
Manager of the USAF Maintenance Management Information System. Clark received
his Doctorate of Business Administration from The Florida State University, a
Master of Business Administration from Arizona State University and a
Bachelors degree in Biological Sciences from Mercer University.
