EUR8,000 for a Cartoon

BRUSSELS, October 19, 2010 - The Press Cartoon Europe 2011 (PCE) has generous cash prizes up for grabs
for cartoons which have appeared during 2010 in a newspaper or magazine in
any European country. The previous edition welcomed work from 112 cartoonists
from 30 European countries. The first prize, EUR 10,000 in cash, then went to
Burkhard Mohr of Germany, while the Swedish cartoonist Riber scooped the 2009
PCE Award. The PCE 2011 will award a Grand Prize of EUR 8,000 and two second
prizes of EUR 1,000 each. Only cartoons published in 2010 may be entered.
Cartoonists may submit a maximum of three works by 1 January 2011 to
evi@presscartoon.com. Only electronic submissions will be accepted. The
regulations and further information can be requested from the same address.
