Gerresheimer AG Expands its Management Board: Andreas Schutte Appointed as New Member

DUSSELDORF, Germany - Mr. Andreas Schutte (47) has been appointed to the Management Board of Gerresheimer AG with effect from May 1, 2009.

Within the Gerresheimer Management Board Mr. Schutte assumes responsibility for the Plastic Systems Division. This Division comprises Gerresheimer Wilden GmbH and the Business Unit of Gerresheimer Plastic Packaging. Gerresheimer Wilden develops and produces highly innovative systems and system components for customers in the pharma industry, and the fields of diagnostics and medical tech­nology. The Plastic Packaging Business Unit produces standardized system packaging for pharmaceutics. The Plastic Systems Division has production plants in Europe, America and Asia and achieves the highest growth rates in the Gerresheimer Group.

Mr. Schutte previously occupied various management positions in international companies, for example Hydro Aluminium. He was most recently CEO of the Siteco Group.

The following continue to be members of the Management Board: Dr. Axel Herberg as Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Max Raster with responsibility for the Tubular Glass Division, Mr. Uwe Rohrhoff with responsibility for the Molded Glass and Life Science Research Divi­sions and Mr. Hans-Jurgen Wiecha as Chief Financial Officer.
