NORTHAMPTON, England, October 27, 2011 -
To coincide with National Psoriasis Awareness Week, the UK Psoriasis Association will launch the results of a nation-wide survey* - that included over 600 respondents - into the care and management of people with psoriasis.
Estimated to affect approximately 1.5 million people in the UK[1,2,] psoriasis is a painful and debilitating condition characterised by red, raised and inflamed patches on the skin. As well as being physically debilitating, psoriasis can have a deep psychological impact on the people it affects[3].
*The survey was developed in collaboration with the Psoriasis Association, and funded by Janssen
Note: interviews with leading dermatologists and patients can also be arranged with prior notice.
