GoldenSource to Discuss Best Practice Data Management in a Post-Crisis World at FISD Asia-Pac Conferences
By Goldensource, PRNETuesday, April 13, 2010
LONDON, April 14, 2010 - GoldenSource Corporation, a leading provider of enterprise data
management (EDM) solutions, will be exhibiting and participating in two panel
sessions at the Software & Information Industry's FISD Asia-Pac conferences
in April. The events in Sydney on April 15 and in Singapore on April 23 will
focus on both local and global developments that impact the Asia Pacific
market data community.
The Asia Pacific region has, like other areas, been affected by increased
market volatility, the effects of which have been heightened by the global
economic crisis. Asia however is at the forefront of driving a more effective
approach to data, with centralised market and reference data enabling greater
control and lower risk for financial institutions. In answer to the growing
demand in APAC for end-to-end transparency, GoldenSource recently expanded
its footprint in the region with offices in Sydney and Hong Kong, and has
worked closely with partners to develop the GoldenSource Market Data
Solution, which recognises the region's specific reference data needs.
FISD Sydney: 259 George Street, April 15
Nassar Ahmad, Director Client Operations, Asia Pacific, GoldenSource will
discuss best practice data management post-crisis, in the 'Risk and
Regulation: Data management in a new era' panel. The panel will discuss
issues such as how risk units can drive data management projects, and how to
comply with changing regulatory requirements.
FISD Singapore: SGX Centre 1, April 23
Brian Rooney, Sales Director of Asia, GoldenSource, will examine how to
succeed with targeted data management projects in the 'Creating a foundation
for effective data management' panel. The panel will also consider how
financial institutions can best balance the need for increasing the breadth
of data coverage versus improving cost efficiencies, as well as how an
integrated data management offering can support pre- and post-trade
arrangements.
The Financial Information Services Division (FISD) of the Software and
Information Industry Association (SIIA) is a global forum that has been
serving the financial information industry for more than 20 years. Its 140
member-companies recognise that market data distribution and efficient trade
execution require a high level of consistent and predictable service, which
is dependent on the close cooperation of many independent organisations and
systems.
