June event in London to focus on financing, liquidity, risk management
LONDON, January 13 - The Global Corporate Treasurers Forum Europe will gather the most senior
treasury and finance professionals for a June event in London to debate
treasury and finance issues that affect multinationals, gtnews announced
today.
With attendance restricted to corporate treasurers, chief financial
officers, finance directors, controllers and assistant treasurers, GCTF
Europe is designed to promote confidential, strategic discussion among the
delegates as they consider business challenges best solved by others in the
finance practice.
The programme is developed by a steering committee of treasurers and
finance directors, working with gtnews staff. This corporate-driven event
builds upon the success of the parallel AFP Global Corporate Treasurers
Forum, run by the Association for Financial Professionals, which is now in
its sixth year.
"Everyone will agree that we live in interesting times. The business
landscape is changing at a record pace and the treasury department is
expected to keep up," said Michael Cannon, Head of Payments and Cash
Management Europe, HSBC, which is the exclusive sponsor for the event. "As
key issues such as securing funding, managing liquidity and mitigating
counterparty risk dominate the treasury agenda in Europe, HSBC is delighted
to work with gtnews to bring together firsthand knowledge and expertise to
enable European businesses to come through these interesting times in even
better shape than before."
This two-day London event will take place June 23-25 at the Grosvenor
House hotel on Park Lane.

This event will be huge! I can’t wait to see the way it will shape business in Europe and the effects that it will then have on business in the United States. Hopefully this will help turn the economy around in 2010! Great site! Thank you! |
