NEWTOWN SQUARE, Pennsylvania - Anne Larilahti to address PMI Global Congress on 18 May 2009
Sustainability will be the topic of green business expert Anne
Larilahti’s address to project management practitioners who will meet in the
Netherlands from 18-20 May for the Project Management Institute (PMI) Global
Congress 2009 - EMEA (Europe-Middle East-Africa).
Supported by an organisation that is truly committed to the ambitious
project of finding alternate and renewable energy by 2011, Larilahti heads
the Environmentally Sustainable Business program at Nokia Siemens Networks.
In conjunction with a group of experts in the organisation, Larilahti’s work
combines Nokia Siemens Networks’ current solutions and services with today’s
environmental issues. Larilahti’s programme positively impacts the
environment and maintains the fiscal responsibility Nokia Siemens Networks
requires. Under Larilahti’s direction, Nokia Siemens Networks’
Environmentally Sustainable Business initiative has been nominated for an
award in the Green Mobile Award category of the annual GSMA Global Mobile
Awards 2009.
“Sustainability is no longer the idealistic vision of an environmentally
sensitive CEO,” said Gregory Balestrero, president and chief executive
officer of PMI. “The current environment is forcing a change in business
values. Visionary organisations are recognising they cannot depend solely on
their financial returns for ongoing success. They know a smart customer will
make buying decisions based on the organisation’s environmental and social
footprint as well. Anne Larilahti’s experiences establishing sustainable,
socially responsible and fiscally prudent programmes are relevant to project
management practitioners who are looking to add quantifiable value to their
organisations.”
PMI(R) Global Congress 2009 — EMEA is the premier project management,
