Cologne tops the list for biggest savings

LONDON, May 19, 2011 - Price conscious holiday seekers wanting to be the first to sample some
summer fun are in for a deal as Hotwire.com(R), a leading discount travel
site, releases its latest Worldwide Travel Savings Indicator[1]. The savings
indicator flags the top ten cities worldwide where you can currently find the
biggest savings on room rates on Hotwire.com/UK.

Cologne tops the charts in June with a massive 55% saving over standard
hotel room prices on leading retail sites. In addition to affordable
accommodation, Cologne also offers consumers plenty of cultural and
historical treasures including its world-famous museums and active art scene.
Boston follows closely behind with a saving of 51% offering a bargain in a
city where room rates in general have risen.

For those looking to get away with the family, hotels in Athens and
Orlando are offering savings of up to 40% with an average price of a Hot Rate
hotel in Orlando coming in at 39 pounds Sterling[2]. Florida is gaining in
popularity with Europeans as a holiday destination this year. And Paris is

Hotwire Hot Rates(R) savings available in a comparable hotel in the same area
with the same star rating and calculates the % saving. Hotwire then ranks the
cities according to the % savings on offer.
