IBC2011 launches the IBC Leaders' Summit - 'Leadership in a Digital Age'

LONDON, April 13, 2011 - IBC, the leading global tradeshow for professionals engaged in the
content creation, management and delivery of broadcasting, electronic media
and entertainment is launching the IBC2011 Leaders' Summit, to be held on
Thursday 8 and Friday 9 September at IBC2011, RAI Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
Electronic media technology has enabled a new wave of entrepreneurs and
empowered the consumer. This has led to a period of dynamic change. The
Leaders' Summit programme 'Leadership in a Digital Age' will address the
challenges of steering organisations to success through this new media

and experiences with an invited audience of 50 key leaders in broadcasting
from across Europe and explore how leaders must adapt to this new business

Mike Darcey has been chief operating officer of British Sky Broadcasting
Group plc since 2006, having served as both group commercial and strategy
director and director of strategy.
Erik Huggers, vice president, general manager digital home group, Intel
Erik Huggers is corporate vice president and general manager of the
digital home group and a member of Intel's Management Committee. Erik's
mission is to establish Intel as a global leader in hardware, software and
services for the connected home and the rapidly emerging smart TV category.
Chris Dedicoat, president, european markets, Cisco
Chris Dedicoat is responsible for European operations, growth initiatives
and investments in strategic alliances and acquisitions throughout the
region. European markets are the highest revenue earning region outside the
US for Cisco.
William H Roedy, former chairman and chief executive, MTV Networks
International (MTVNI)
In William's most recent role he was responsible for overseeing all of
MTV Networks' growing international channels and multimedia business
operations. Under his leadership, MTVNI developed and launched hundreds of
channels, starting with MTV Europe in 1989. He and his team built a global
operation that now includes over 172 locally programmed and operated TV
channels outside the US in more than 162 countries in 33 languages, reaching
a potential audience of two billion people, making MTVNI one of the largest
networks in the world.
Caroline Thomson, coo, BBC
Caroline Thomson is a member of the BBC's Executive Board, reports to the
director-general and led the BBC's bid for a successful review of its
Charter. She is responsible for the BBC's Policy, Legal, Strategy and
Distribution functions as well as all of their major infrastructure projects
including the digital switchover, the proposed move to North West England and
all the BBC's property plans.
Gary Shapiro, president and ceo, Consumer Electronics Association
Gary Shapiro is president and ceo of the CEA, the US Trade Association
representing some 2,000 US technology companies. The CEA owns and produces
the world's largest tradeshow for consumer technology, the International CES.
