Faced with the complexities of integrating an acquisition that tripled the company’s size with an additional 1,000 employees and three new manufacturing plants, Intelligrated needed a standardized and scalable enterprise-wide management system that could help enable the timely, cost-effective delivery of large, complex warehouse systems to its customers, mainly large retailers.
By leveraging several modules of the Oracle E-Business Suite 12.1, Intelligrated was able to successfully assimilate its new employees and manufacturing facilities while also improving the efficiency and accuracy of internal processes.
Working with AXIA Consulting, Intelligrated was able to upgrade to the Oracle E-Business Suite 12.1 within budget and on time in just seven months.
Keys to Successful Growth
Using Oracle Discrete Manufacturing (www.oracle.com/us/products/applications/ebusiness/scm/054020.html) , Intelligrated is better able to efficiently and accurately manufacture and deliver complex warehouse management systems, enabling users to process complex sales orders with numerous different parts and often long installation times.
The improved accuracy of Intelligrated’s configure-to-order processes has reduced manufacturing and order errors, estimated at $300,000 each year, by enabling users to quickly and accurately process complex sales orders that often include as many as 5,000 or 15,000 line items and long lead times.
The Oracle E-Business Suite 12.1 has also assisted Intelligrated to track inventory and labor expenses by improving management capabilities and updating time and labor systems, helping projects stay within budget while enabling project margins to be easily assessed.
