Jade Scores Port of Doha

AUCKLAND, New Zealand, September 28, 2011 -

Master Terminal, Jade’s specialist logistics software has been chosen by Qatar Navigation Services, as the country prepares to host the 2022 football world cup.

Currently the port uses a paper-based system to manage its annual 330,000 TEU* container movements. Millions of tonnes of cargo are expected to pass through the port as Qatar undertakes multi-billion dollar infrastructure projects including new hotels, rapid rail and construction of stadia in the lead up to the world’s largest sporting event.

Qatar Navigation Service’s Doha Port is the sixth win for Master Terminal in 18 months and follows successful campaigns to win ports business in Messina Italy, Iraq, Georgia, United Arab Emirates and Gdansk Poland, says Howard Wren, Logistics Director, Jade.
