Kwik Fit Insurance Report Increase in Car and Home Policy Sales

GLASGOW, Scotland - Leading UK insurance intermediary Kwik Fit Insurance has reported that sales of car insurance leapt by almost a third in May in comparison with the same month last year. It’s presence in the home insurance market continued to grow with policy sales rising by nearly a quarter in the same comparative period.

Sales of new car insurance policies at the Uddingston-based intermediary were up 31 per cent compared with May 2008, with 21,000 new car insurance policies sold in May 2009 alone. Home insurance sales continue to increase with 4,000 new policies taken out, an increase of 23 per cent on May 2008.

Car insurance is the core product of the Kwik Fit Financial Services group with approximately half a million policies currently live. The intermediary has a long history of selling home insurance from its UK call centre and has been active in this market since 1997.
